Our Love Story
We’ve met
Nick and Taryn were bitten by the theatre bug early in life, so it seemed fitting that they met performing in Summerstock Calgary’s production of Hairspray: the Musical. They both went on to graduate with BFA degrees in Musical Theatre from Missouri State University. As passionate artists, they promise that their wedding reception will be nothing short of 'theatrical'.
Latest Adventures
Taryn and Nick recently wrapped up an eight month tour, bringing 'The Three Little Pigs & B.B. Wolfe', a musical combining fairytale animals plus climate change, to elementary schools throughout Alberta. They also starred in, animated, edited and produced an online video series this past summer featuring their same beloved characters.
Engagement
Combining their love of the outdoors and technology, Nick created a GPS scavenger hunt around Quarry Lake, with trivia questions about their past at each coordinate. Once all locations had been reached, the route mapping showed that their path spelled "Marry Me?" in huge virtual letters. Thankfully, even though Nick had made her walk for an hour in random directions, she still said "Yes!"
